lyrics
He stands, alone against time
Dark sentry of stone and iron
Sinister shadows in the wind
Without fear he begins to grin
His blackened axe will set the land on fire
No longer human he will never tire
Defend the realm, the eternal fight
Against the tyrants he will wield his might
Long ago, when he was young
The elders invocation and begun
Elixir turned flesh to stone
Now he stands before his iron throne
His blackened axe will set the land on fire
No longer human he will never tire
Defend the realm, the eternal fight
Against the tyrants he will wield his might
When they come to steal the light
Devouring everything in their sight
From my throne I will rise
My black blade at my side
Cut down demons as they near
Defend the realm we hold so dear
Now the land lay still
Another corse to the pyre
The light will burn again
In this land of fire

Anyone else find it a little embarrassing when a band puts so many effusive reviews up as testimonials?
All that aside, I only recently found Clouds Taste Satanic. Not only do they take name inspiration from my favorite Flaming Lips album, but they’ve also become my favorite Doom band! They don’t hump the same riff for 18 minutes, there’s variation along the way. Brian Parker

This searing, four-track split from Bog Wizard (Michigan) and Dust Lord (Colorado) pairs stoner rock riffs with hard fantasy themes. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 10, 2021

OMG, late to the party but this is some of the best occult infused doom stoner tackle I've ever heard. Reference points include Sabbath (obvs), especially with the Ozzy-esque vocals but there's also the melodiousness of early Heep mixing with a more contemporary occult rock sound. It starts in the 70's and makes it to the present day. The riffs are huge but it's their way with a hook that elevates this from your average doom/stoner fare. Very wonderful indeed! egg-magoo
